The hotel over the circuit, under its gridshell of diamond glass panels. At night the whole shell glows one colour and drifts slowly through violet, blue and magenta, with a detour to another hue every few minutes. Its light on the marina water follows the colour. When a race on the map finishes, it waves a chequered flag in the winner’s colour (see The chequered flag).
